Well done for taking FAST action Judith – it DOES make your mind feel clearer doesn’t it?
Such an important subject Bernadette! Kate Gerry has a really great training on this one and shows how to set up ‘filters’ too so emails can bypass the inbox altogether and go straight into dedicated files. http://www.theinboxrevolution.com and she has a special offer right now xx
Hi Laura – great to hear from you!

How do you get down to zero from 3500?
Great video Bernadette – love the ‘big buckets’! Easy is definitely the key 🙂
Thank you so much Laura Berridge for the shout out too. Gotta love an Inbox Revolution – yay!
Hi Kate, great to hear from you! Good luck with Inbox Revolution!
Bernadette, thanks for spreading the ‘Ninja Email’ message and for the book shout out! The book’s been bought by Icon now so will be in all good book shops from jan! And in the meantime, it’s still on amazon and at or site too – http://www.thinkproductive.co.uk
Hi Graham! You are very welcome! I think your book is brilliant and have recommended it to all my clients. Thrilled to hear it will be on sale in bookshops in the new year. Keep rockin’ the Ninja productivity message!
Great info, Bernadette. I have the habit of keeping messages in my e-mail inbox as a reminder when I’m waiting for a response or I want to review or deal with the message later. No more! I’ve created the 3 folders for Action, Read Review and Waiting. A much better system. Have also set 9 a.m., 12 noon and 3 p.m. for processing e-mails. Thanks so much.
Hey Vickie! Well done on putting this into action so quickly! Good on you. Makes a huge difference doesn’t it? I love it!
Thanks Bernadete,I am learning every time from your TV series.
Hi Bernadette. Ironically about a year ago, my partner got hold of my Inbox and set up a very similar system for me. The filing part of the system (which I call Filing Cabinet, with a few sub-folders) works pretty well, but I only managed to keep it the empty Inbox for about a week, even though I knew he was right. So this has inspired me to get it going again. I’ve been thinking about why it didn’t work before and I’ve come up with two thoughts. One is that once the emails are out of the Inbox and into the three folders – they’re out of sight, out of mind and I’m afraid of missing a vital deadline or something urgent. So this time round I have added a new folder called Urgent – if there is a number alongside indicating there is something in there – it will alert me. The other issue is the other part of that. This system will keep my Inbox empty. But when will I find the time to empty the Urgent & Action folders? As for Read / Review – forgeddabout it! Any tips you have for that stage of the process might be a good subject for another video. Anyway back to what is working, so far I have flung 1/4 of the 400 emails I had in my Inbox into either a folder or Deleted, and am inspired to carry on. Like Vickie, I’m thinking 3 times a day for processing – maybe 9, 1 and 5.
I have been meaning to watch your Tv blogs for ages. This one jumped out as this is why I never get to watch them – too many emails. Absolutely loved it – Thank you. I am going to check when I get up and once the kids are in bed. I am about to set up the folders and here’s to finally getting to zero!!
Exactly what I needed right now! Thanks Bernadette. x
