Are You Missing Opportunities

As an entrepreneur, you probably face new opportunities all the time, right? And how often do you tell yourself things like:

“This seems pretty good, but what if something better comes along? I think I’ll pass on this.”

Or …

“I don’t think I’m quite ready for this.”

Or …

“Great idea. I’ll come back to that.”

Am I right? Well, guess what?

Will a Better Opportunity Come Around?

You’re deluding yourself.

Something better won’t come along. You ARE ready. And you won’t come back to it.

On this video training, Are You Missing Opportunities I’m sharing a funny scenario I experienced in a parking lot.

You may be wondering what my parking situation has to do with business, and I admit, this story makes me look like a bit of an idiot. But the fact is, it also illustrated a common scenario I see my clients go through.

And I’m so committed to your success that I simply had to share it!

Here’s the gist: I was on my way to the studio for filming. I pulled into the parking lot and saw an open spot. But did I park? No. It wasn’t the perfect spot. I thought maybe I could find one a bit closer. And if I didn’t, I’d come back to the first one.

So, I went on in search of the perfect spot.

Guess what?

I didn’t find it. So as I was heading back to the original spot (you know where this is going), I saw someone else pulling into it.

“Aha!” I thought. “This happens in business all the time.”

And it does. So many entrepreneurs face wonderful opportunities and turn them down and head right on past them because of “less than perfect” conditions.

Well, I don’t know if I’m the first one to break it to you, but there are no such things as perfect conditions. If you wait for them, you’ll never move forward.

Opportunities require you to step up in some way.

So here’s my “big-time coach” advice to you: Put on your big girl panties. Step up, and do it. Take a deep breath and go for it!

Now, jump in on the conversation.

  • What’s your habit?
  • What do you do over and over that stops you from taking advantage of opportunities?
  • How will you change this habit so you can begin to move forward?
