How To Find Clients
Wondering how (and where) to find your next clients? This is probably the question I hear most often when working with small business owners. It seems that everyone wants to know what’s the best way to find clients. So we are devoting this week’s episode of BernadetteTV to answering this question.
While the answer to ‘where to find clients’ is different for every business, these 5 tips can show you where to find the clients you want.

So watch it NOW. In this episode I share:
- The best immediate source of new clients (it’s so obvious you’ll wonder why you didn’t think of it already!)
- The one question you MUST ask to determine whether clients are worth pursuing (and the two things you need to change if they’re not)
- How to give yourself a ‘competitive advantage’ when it comes to finding new clients (you’ll LOVE this one!)
Somewhere in the world there is a group of people crying out for you and the solutions that you provide. The only problem is, they have no idea that you exist. We need to make you visible to this group of people. And the way to do that is to find out where your ideal clients are ‘hanging out’ and then get yourself in front of them!
Don’t wait to be ‘discovered’. It’s up to you to do the research to find out where your ideal clients are ‘hanging out’ and these 5 simple steps will motivate you to get into action and make it happen.
Make sure to watch this one right away. It’s short and sweet and packed with practical steps you can put into a action immediately.
After you’ve watched it, I would love to hear from YOU in the comments below. What’s the best thing you’ve ever done to find new clients? Please share your tips and let’s create a community archive of best practices!

Once you know your target client you can use meetup.com to go find some targeted prospects in your local area.
Hello, Bernadette. Referral sourcing is another good way to network. Being a member of several organizations where it’s a big no-no to use membership directory to solicit, referral sourcing is a great way around that seemingly stop gap. In other words, you’re not allowed to talk about your business but you can talk about someone else’s business. Once you meet someone who you like their product and see a good fit with yours, make an appointment to discuss your businesses. Tell them to bring about 10 business cards and info on their business. When you’re done discussing your businesses, exchange business cards. The idea is when you hear someone talk about something they need by using a keyword to fit the other’s business, give them your referral source’s business card while saying that they may be able to help you. If they ask, tell them a little about the business and a couple of benefits.
I also believe in community collaboration. I do fundraisers for nonprofits by buying a booth to participate in their bazaars. Doing a drawing is a great way to get new leads. It’s a fun way to meet new people.
I enjoy your videos. You are a talented performer and speaker. Thank you for your time in reading this comment. Rosella Young, AA-1 Designs, Invest in your shelf!
